Vaem & Soi was born from a personal vision: to create elegant pieces for women who wish to express their style without compromising their values.

Founder Emina Ekinci grew up surrounded by craftsmanship. In her parents’ boutique and atelier in Amsterdam, fabrics, patterns and sewing machines formed the backdrop of her childhood. What began as a young girl experimenting with fabrics soon developed into a deep understanding of design, tailoring and quality.

From an early age she learned to work with industrial sewing machines and became familiar with every aspect of the atelier. These early experiences shaped her appreciation for craftsmanship and the importance of thoughtful design.

A Personal Beginning
In the summer of 2012, Emina faced a challenge that would eventually lead to the creation of the brand. After choosing to wear the hijab, she searched for swimwear that reflected both her lifestyle and her sense of elegance.

At that time, modest swimwear options were limited. Designs were often oversized, impractical or lacking in style. The balance between modesty, comfort and elegance simply did not exist.

So she decided to create it herself.

She designed a burkini that felt refined, feminine and modern, something she could wear with confidence. When she first wore the design on the beach, people immediately noticed. Many had never seen modest swimwear designed with such elegance.

Soon women began asking where they could find it.

What started with requests from family and friends slowly grew through word of mouth into something much larger.

Return & Exchange Conditions

1. Items must be returned within 14 days of receiving your order.
2. All items must be returned in their original condition: unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and free from any odors such as perfume, deodorant, perspiration, or smoke.
3. Items must include all original labels, tags, and packaging, including any accompanying pouch, bag, or box. Returned products must be suitable for resale.
4. The return form must be fully completed and included together with the packing slip.
5. Returns and exchanges are processed within 30 days after receipt of the returned package.
6. All returned items are carefully inspected before approval of the return or exchange.
7. Vaem & Soi reserves the right to refuse returns or exchanges that do not meet the conditions stated above. In such cases, the item will be returned to the sender.
8. You will receive an email notification if your item does not qualify for a return or exchange.

Manufacturing Defects

We sincerely apologize if a manufacturing defect has occurred with your order.

Every Vaem & Soi item undergoes careful quality control. However, in rare cases a production defect may occur. If this happens, we will gladly offer a replacement or refund once the item has been returned and inspected.

Please follow the steps below:

2. The item must be returned to Vaem & Soi within 10 days after receiving your order.

Delivery charges are shown separately when ordering and must also be paid in advance. 14.1 We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a Contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (“Force Majeure Event”).

14.2 A Force Majeure event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following:

Strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action.

• Civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war.
• Fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster.
• Impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport.
• Impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks.
• The acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government.
• Our performance under any Contract is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and We will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period. We will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under the Contract may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.

15.  Waiver

• If We fail, at any time during the term of a contract, to insist upon strict performance of any of your obligations under the contract or any of these terms and conditions, or if we fail to exercise any of the rights or remedies to which we are entitled under the contract, this shall not constitute a waiver of such rights or remedies and shall not relieve you from compliance with such obligations.
• A waiver by us of any default shall not constitute a waiver of any subsequent default.
• No waiver by us of any of these terms and conditions shall be effective unless it is expressly stated to be a waiver and is communicated to you in writing in accordance with clause 11 above.

• If any of these terms and conditions or any provisions of a contract are determined by any competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, such term, condition or provision will to that extent be severed from the remaining terms, conditions and provisions which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• Alternatively, you agree that the clause shall be rectified and interpreted in such a way that closely resembles the original meaning of the clause/sub-clause as is permitted by law.

• Neither of us shall have any remedy in respect of any untrue statement made by the other, whether orally or in writing, prior to the date of any contract (unless such untrue statement was made fraudulently) and the other party’s only remedy shall be for breach of contract as provided in these terms and conditions.

Discount Code Terms And ConditionsOfficial Vaem & Soi Discount Codes entitle you to an extra percentage (specific to the Discount Code in question) off your next online order from www.vaemandsoi.com to claim your discount, when in the ‘shopping cart’ section of your account there is an option to “Discount Code”, which allows you to enter the promotional code in order to apply it to the order. Discount Codes can only be used once per customer, cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer, remain our property and are not transferable. There is no cash alternative.
